Time to travel down the Moon River! Variety has confirmed that Lilly Collins will play Audrey Hepburn in a feature film about the making of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The currently untitled film is based on Sam Wasson's book Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman. Alena Smith (the creator of the acclaimed Apple TV series Dickinson) will write the film’s screenplay. There is no director attached to the project yet.

Daughter of famed musician Phil Collins, Lily Collins started her acting career in films such as The Blind Side, Mirror Mirror, and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Collins is also known for memorable performances in auteur-directed films, including Bong Joon Ho’s Okja, David Fincher’s Mank, and Warren Beatty’s Rules Don’t Apply, which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. Since 2020, Lily Collins has played the titular character in the Netflix series Emily in Paris. Audrey Hepburn is considered to be one of the most iconic actresses who has ever lived. Hepburn’s role as Holly Golighly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s is considered to be her best, most influential, and well-known performance of her career. In 1962, Hepburn received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
