Luke Skywalker's Destiny Hangs In The Balance And Other Stories Of Familiar Characters In June 2023 Star Wars Comics

The Star Wars universe has expanded to comics. The franchise has been in the comic medium for a while now, with Marvel comics publishing the original 1977 adaptation of the films. Dark Horse Comics then went on to publish various Star Wars comics as well. Once Disney acquired Marvel, they once again became the primary publisher for new Star Wars comics.  New stories are still being released, and a new preview of the Star Wars comics is coming out in June 2023 through Marvel Comics. 

Star Wars: Yoda #8

The Separatist army has a powerful new weapon known as the Megadroid. To defeat this threat against the Republic, it's going to take both Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Master Yoda. This issue brings fans into the droid factory, and will directly connect with the events of Star Wars: Revelations.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 #1

This comic series is a retelling of the hit series. This issue follows Chapter 9: The Marshal. Din and Grogu search the Outer Rim to find others of Grogu’s kind. They instead follow a rumor of another Mandalorian and meet Cobb Vanth, who wears very familiar armor. The situation Din and Grogu have wandered into, is bigger than they both realize.

Star Wars: Sana Starros #5

The mini-series is written by Justina Ireland, who has written various The High Republic novels. The final issue follows the Starros family as they infiltrate an Imperial Star destroyer. Sana Starros and bounty hunter Deva Lompop board The King’s Ransom to save a member of their family. However, they discover they’ve been betrayed, and the Starros family will never be the same. 

Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #35

This issue follows the aftermath of the battle with Inferno Squad. Valance and T’onga are joined by some of the most dangerous bounty hunters in the galaxy: Khel Tanna, Deathstick, Durge, and even Boba Fett. 

Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #33

Aphra has convinced Luke that she can help him find the long-lost secrets of the Jedi. However, she of course has other plans for him, which includes Darth Vader.

Luke Skywalker is in the clutches of Dr. Cuata, and his lightsaber has been destroyed. Dr. Cuata is a kyber crystal expert, and can repair Luke’s lightsaber, but at a price. Luke’s life hangs in the balance, and only another Jedi can save him. 

Star Wars: Darth Vader #35

Darth Vader has called for the archaeologist, Dr. Aphra, for her help, after he lost control of the Force. Only Aphra can tame his path of destruction. Will an archaic Kyberite weapon only lead to more devastation?
