2025 saw the release of several Sequel Trilogy-related pieces of media in celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Force Awakens. This year, in turn, marks the 10th anniversary of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and in celebration, Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics have announced a five-issue miniseries of one-shots with each issue focused on a different character.
Star Wars: Rogue One will shine a spotlight on Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, Saw Gerrera, Chirrut & Baze, and lastly, Darth Vader, in that order. The summaries for each story are revealed by io9 through Gizmodo, and appear to paint a series of events that take place in the immediate surroundings of Rogue One. It will be interesting to see if any of them draw on events from Andor to help inform their narratives (Cassian’s almost certainly will), but there was also a media push around Rogue One with stories that may be referenced in these new comics.

We personally have our eyes on the Saw Gerrera short story, as the comic summary references his time during the Clone Wars. Jyn Erso’s story is noteworthy, as it will be written by Ethan Sacks, who is already a major Star Wars comic writer at this point. 2026 continues to look like a good year for Sacks, as he is also behind the upcoming new Galaxy’s Edge miniseries. These arcs will tell new stories set during the Original Trilogy on the planet Batuu, which take place in conjunction with the upcoming changes to the theme park.
We have no doubt more announcements for Rogue One-adjacent stories are on their way, and will be sure to keep our fractal radios tuned in for more reveals about this upcoming anniversary.
