MGM+'s 'Robin Hood' Sets Premiere Date And Releases Trailer

MGM+ released a new trailer for their Robin Hood series. The trailer starts with a voice-over saying, “We conquered your lands. Now we rule. In a hundred years, all that is Saxon will be gone. No one will ever know you or your kind existed.’ A different voice answers, “We teach those who tread on us. Nothing will keep them safe from vengeance.” The end of the trailer shows a release date of Nov. 2 with a two-episode premiere on the U.S. version MGM+. The streamer will continue releasing one episode per week until the finale on December 28. MGM+ streamers in the UK, Italy, Germany, Latin America, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg will also be able to see the show.

The series takes place after the Norman Invasion and features Rob, the son of a Saxon forester, and Marian, the daughter of a Norman Lord as they fall in love. Rob, played by Jack Patten, becomes the leader of a band of outlaws while Marian, played by Lauren McQueen, finds a way to power in the court. The pair are united in their mission to fight corruption and injustice. Other cast members include Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
