“Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of…” –fans whom this insult doesn’t offend but finish the sentence are likely to be completely stoked that Monty Python and the Holy Grail is set to return to select theaters in celebration of the film’s 48 in a half year anniversary on December 3. Fans who can quote the movie are in for a treat! Select theaters will show a special “Quote-A-Long” version of the film for viewers to quote and sing along to their heart’s content. The 1975 comedy classic stars Graham Chapman, Eric Idle, John Cleese, Michael Palin, and Terry Gilliam.

Some of the greatest works in history have had humble beginnings, with Monty Python and the Holy Grail being a prime example. It is noteworthy that the film was notoriously low-budget. Idle famously shared how the troupe had to get creative and frugal to make the movie happen. As if rock legends Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, or Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull need more reasons to be adored, they all played an integral role in financing the film. Just imagine how much fandom would have suffered without the mark that this satirical comedy made in the cinematic arena.

“That’s no ordinary rabbit! That’s the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set your eyes on…” Fans can set their eyes on available theaters and purchase tickets through the Holy Grail Re-Release website, for Camelot!
