Paramount has just released the latest trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. It opens with Optimus Primal (voiced by Ron Perlman) swinging through the forest amongst the mountains. The shot then appears to span down showing various Maximals meandering along blending in with the nature scene. From here Airazor (voiced by Michelle Yeoh) flies over the grasslands and mountains. Primal appears to be talking to none other than Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) about the current threat to Earth – “Darkness has found us again” he says as NYC comes into focus with looming clouds on the horizon and lightning off in the distance.

This installment of the franchise appears to be a sequel to Bumblebee while also addressing the antagonist concern from Transformers: The Last Knight – Unicron. The timeline brings Earth to 1994. The Cybertronians learn that Quintessa’s attempt to awaken Unicron in Transformers: The Last Knight while foiled at the time, has slowly begun his awakening at Earth’s core. Unicron (voiced by Colman Domingo), being the size of a planet with the power of a god intends to ultimately consume Earth.

It would not be Transformers without the trusty human sidekick now, would it? Noah Diaz, played by Anthony Ramos inadvertently ends up inside Mirage, voiced by Pete Davidson. He learns rather quickly that Mirage is not your average car as he promptly takes him to Optimus Prime who is less than thrilled that a human has become involved. From there a  battle scene opens up featuring a glimpse of Battletrap shooting at the heroes when Arcee (voiced by Liza Koshy) flips over him while transforming during the chase. Bumblebee appears freefalling firing down at the battle. The trailer cuts to Scourge (voiced by Peter Dinklage) who warns that in the end everything they care for will be consumed.

The final scene shows a battle with Scorponok against the Maximals and the Autobots. Arcee is seen riding on Rhinox’s (voiced by David Sobolov) back as they fight together with Wheeljack (voiced by Cristo Fernández). Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is expected to hit theaters on June 9, 2023!
