'Pokémon Scarlet' And 'Violet' Update Will Bring All Previous Starter Pokémon To Latest Generation

Every generation of Pokémon games brings new starter pokémon to the roster for the green adventurer looking to make their name as a master trainer. These pokémon come to occupy a special place in players’ hearts, especially from the generation they first got into the game with. Now, Game Freak announced that all previous generation starter pokémon will be joining the roster in Scarlet and Violet with the upcoming fall expansion Indigo Disk.

From Bulbasaur to Popplio, these old friends will join the roster and will be available for trading. Players can trade with another player through direct trade or the Pokémon Home storage app. The icing on the cake is that this is all free. All trades, raids, and battles will be compatible regardless if you buy the DLC. This starter pokémon part comes through a free update that is part of the update that will accompany the DLC.

The new expansion to last year’s release of Scarlet and Violet releases later this year allowing players to explore the region known as Area Zero. There will be two expansions, the first of which is Indigo Disk, and together they make up the storyline The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. It will complete a good chunk of the main story and introduce new characters, pokémon, and abilities to extend the adventure in Palea
