Robert Pattinson praised the script for The Batman: Part II at the red carpet premiere of his new film, The Drama. Pattinson stars opposite Zendaya in the romantic comedy with a twist. That’s not all, as Pattinson will be seen again in Dune: Part Three and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey later this year. Even though he’s about to go on a career run in 2026, with one high-profile role after another to his credit, he’s still excited about coming back as the Caped Crusader. Pattinson has had to wait, like everyone else, for Matt Reeves to finish writing the sequel to the hit 2022 film, but based on what he had to say, it sounds like it will be worth the wait.

Pattinson said, “The script is extraordinary,” and “I think it’s going to be a really, really special movie and very, very different.” Eve his co-star, Colin Farrell, who plays The Penguin in the film as well as his own series, praised the script, calling it “a contemporary genre masterwork.” Farrell also said, “It’s so brilliant, and Robert has got such a lovely journey to go on and take the audience through.” Pattinson believes, “It’s going to be interesting seeing it come out. It’s taking some big swings.” The actor thinks Part II will be different than Part I, where his character is defined by his thirst for vengeance. By the film’s climax, he figures out that Gotham needs hope, not vengeance. This will likely play a role in how Part II shapes up, and fans expect Pattinson to do Bruce Wayne’s playboy persona to perfection. At the Oscars, Pattinson sported a slicked-back hairstyle with a sleek black suit that seemed like a perfect tease of what’s to come for the actor and his fans in The Batman: Part IIwhen the film premieres on October 1, 2027. Filming is expected to begin in a couple of months.
