Hot off the heels of their latest series, Bandai and Sunrise have announced their next Mobile Suit Gundam project, and it's none other than the highly anticipated sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway.

After the multiverse madness of GQuuuuuuX, the long-running mecha franchise will be returning to the Universal Century with the film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe. While production on the film was announced some time ago, fans also got an official teaser trailer for the film.

Based on the book trilogy Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash by Yoshiyuki Tomino, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway is a sequel to the 1988 film Char’s Counterattack, focusing on Hathaway Noa, the son of Commander Bright Noa, as his disillusionment with the Earth Federation leads to him joining the terrorist group ‘Mafty’ to stage an attack that would prevent the Earth Federation from acquiring more political power.
