As The Acolyte continues to see recent news centered around it, we are now getting a story that will likely come as a surprise to many fans. Star Wars - Covered Geekly has recently posted to Twitter, that Adelaide Waldrop is listed as the Intimacy Coordinator for all 8 of the hour-long episodes of the upcoming series. Waldrop’s agency, SaraPutt.co.uk, credits her with the role, and yes, an Intimacy Coordinator is exactly what you probably think it is: one who choreographs intimate scenes in TV and movies. What you may not know is that the position became more popular in response to the #MeToo Movement, and other criticisms of sexual harassment in Hollywood.

Waldrop has been in the industry for a few years now, with credits going back to 2020. She has had the same role in Aftersun, The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, and The Confessions of Frannie Langton among many other works. She has also performed the role in a theatre setting.
