Any piece of information regarding the upcoming series The Acolyte is perfectly welcome. The series is shaping up to be something unique as cast member Dafne Keen (Logan, His Dark Materials) discussed in an interview with TechRadar.

In the interview, she shared her excitement for the project, as well as a confirmation of the plot concept. It's a Sith-led story, which has never been done before.”

RELATED:

The Acolyte takes place in the High Republic era in Star Wars history. As a former Padawan and her Jedi Master investigate crimes of a serious degree, something even darker lurks beneath the surface. It will focus on the Sith and will tell a story not yet shown on screen, further expanding the lore of this universe.

This series is shaping up to be the origin of origins. Without these events, the prequels and subsequent pieces of media would have shaped up to be quite different. The Acolyte is currently set to have a total of eight episodes, however, a release date has yet to be revealed.
