Sheen's Voice Actor From 'Jimmy Neutron' Jeff Garcia Has Passed Away At The Age Of 50

Jeff Garcia, the actor and comedian best known for playing Sheen in the Jimmy Neutron franchise, has passed away due to complications from pneumonia and a collapsed lung at the age of 50. He had previously been hospitalized on November 20th of this year, and after he was released, his condition worsened until he was once again hospitalized on December 8th, and he was placed on life support. He was kept on it until this past Tuesday, and he passed early Wednesday morning.
Born on May 3, 1975, Garcia began his standup comedy career in 1991, performing at various comedy clubs in Southern California, including the Laugh Factory. He began his acting career in 1995, with his first role being Jeff in an episode of the NBC sitcom, Caroline in the City. It was the UltraLord obsessed Sheen Estevez in the 2001 Nickelodeon film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius that truly put him on the map. He would reprise this role in the animated series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, which aired on Nickelodeon from July 20th, 2002, to November 25th, 2006. Garcia would continue to reprise this role in the various media in which Sheen appeared in, including eight video games, four TV specials (including the last two of The Jimmy-Timmy Power Hour trilogy), and his own spin-off series, Planet Sheen (which aired from October 2nd, 2010 to February 15th, 2013). His lady appearance as Sheen was in the video game, Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny, which marks 24 years playing the character.

Outside of that role, Jeff Garcia also played the rat Pip in the 2006 film Barnyard and the 2007 animated series Back at the Barnyard, Rinaldo in Happy Feet and Happy Feet Two, and Tipa and Bat in Rio and Spoonbill and Peri in Rio 2. Garcia was also featured in the sitcom Mr. Box Office as Freddy Lopez and appeared in one of the half-hour comedy specials Comedy Central Presents. Garcia continued performing standup until early November of this year. However, he had to cancel several of his performances this year due to his various health issues beginning in the spring. He suffered a brain aneurysm back in the spring. Several weeks before his recent hospitalization, he also suffered a stroke.
Jeff Garcia’s son, Jojo Garcia, who is also a comedian, paid tribute to his father in a joint Instagram post with his father’s account.
“My father was a unique soul,” Jojo said in the post, “He was unapologetically himself, and I will always admire the love, compassion, and drive that he had.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Lisa Garcia, and their two children Savannah and Joseph “Jojo” Garcia.
