Over the years, LEGO has vastly expanded its licenses beyond Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, and Pixar. For its newest product, the Danish brick house has chosen exactly the right person to present a playset about the 90s TV phenomenon The X-Files: Gillian Anderson.
In the roughly one-minute-long clip, the actress slips back into the role that made her famous: Agent Dana Scully, who is reading a book about aliens in her hotel room, when she suddenly hears a knock on the door. Upon opening it, there is no one there except for a mysterious black box with no sender.
Putting on her lab gloves and speaking into her voice recorder, she starts to assemble what turns into the first The X-Files LEGO playset.
Weighing 1,478 pieces and set to retail for $199.99 starting August 4, the set consists of two main pieces that can be stacked upon each other, but also be displayed separately: A detailed recreation of Mulder’s convoluted office, including the famous “I Want to Believe” poster on the wall, and a scene in a forrest, with a triangular black UFO hovering abve, mounted upon a transparent bar.

The set includes 8 minifigures: aside from Mulder and Scully (with slightly oversized flashlights), there is their boss, Walter Skinner, Agent Krycek, Mr. X, Carl Busch, The Flukeman, and an alien.

Overall, the set is 12 inches tall and 9 inches wide.
Those who order the set between August 1 and 10 will receive an exclusive bonus set of Scully’s lab, including an additional mini-figure of the FBI agent in her lab coat.
