The full-length trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero has finally been released. It’s officially the first Japanese film ever filmed in IMAX.

The trailer shows a combination of new and familiar characters who are in disbelief that they may have to deal with Godzilla again, even though, as Koichi pointed out, he exploded at the end of Minus One. The new Godzilla is also bigger and more terrifying than ever. However, he doesn’t seem to be the only threat they face, as fans hear a familiar roar at the end of the trailer, signaling the return of King Ghidorah. If you look closely, you can also see his energy beam. While it’s not officially confirmed, it seems that Ghidorah will be Godzilla’s adversary in the film. There’s also a moment from the trailer that has Godzilla falling from the sky, which would make sense if Ghidorah is returning.

Minus One was a pretty serious film, and it seems Minus Zero will be as well, so I’m interested to see how they incorporate Ghidorah, considering his origins are space-related. He is the perfect adversary for this movie, as his official canon designation is ‘Monster Zero’. Either way, with Yamazaki at the helm, the movie will still be a must-see spectacle for Godzilla fans.

Godzilla Minus Zero releases November 6th, 2026, in US theaters.
