'The Last Of Us' Season 2 Casts Isabela Merced As Dina

When The Last Of Us Part II was released, many fans of the series found themselves engrossed in the development of Ellie as a character. Aside from getting older, she discovered a newfound relationship with the character of Dina. Not only does she provide a comedic foil to Ellie, but she also ensures that Ellie doesn't get too lonely out in the wild.
After a string of other actor announcements on Max's social media channels, Naughty Dog let slip another one. The character of Dina (who may or may not have appeared in season one) will be played by Isabela Merced.
Many may know Merced as the plucky Dora the Explorer from the live-action movie Dora and the Lost City of Gold, though Transformer fans may recognize her as Izabella in Transformers: The Last Knight. The actress also has plans for other films, such as playing Hawkgirl in Superman: Legacy. With Merced's familiarity with working in various franchises, the role of Dina should fit her like a glove.
Fans of both the TV series and the video game may wonder how accurate The Last Of Us Part II story will be to the next season, considering Dina and other characters will be introduced. The only way to find out, of course, is to be patient and wait for season two to release on Max in 2025!
