The Newest Companion For The Doctor Has Been Revealed Ahead Of Season 15

As Ncuti Gatwa finds his place in the new Doctor Who series, news of his next companion has emerged. Millie Gibson will leave the series and her role of Ruby Sunday after the fourteenth season. While fans may be sad to see the departure of Gibson, the series has been known for the Doctor traveling with different companions through his run, although some recent companions from the series managed to stick around for multiple seasons and the occasional holiday special. The potential for companions to return is always on the table with this series, so fans may not have seen the last of Ruby.

Meanwhile, Vadra Sethu will join the cast as Gatwa’s new companion. Very few details have emerged about Sethu’s character. Not even her name is known. Sethu found her way into the science fiction genre with roles in the movies Now You See Me 2, Hanna, and Jurassic World: Dominion. She also played Manisha Cetri in seventeen episodes of Strike Back and Cinta Kaz in eight episodes of Star Wars: Andor, giving her plenty of experience to travel with the Doctor. The fourteenth season of Doctor Who will air on Disney+ and BBC in May 2024. Viewers can see Sethu as the new companion when the fifteenth season premieres in May 2025.
