Fans of the hit Netflix fantasy series The Witcher got a peek at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. Hemsworth will be taking over the role from Henry Cavill. Both actors posted to their respective social media accounts in October 2022 about the change with Cavill writing, "My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4." Hemsworth’s post expressed both his respect for Cavill as well as his excitement to play the White Wolf. "As a Witcher fan, I'm over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I'm honoured that he's handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf's blades for the next chapter of his adventure."

Netflix posted the First Look clip to YouTube on Wednesday, captioning it, "The journey continues. Here's your first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia." In the dimly lit 1.03 clip, the footage starts with a close-up of horse hooves walking through mud and water. The shot then expands to show the reflection of the foliage in the body of water, followed by a reflection of Geralt in the distance. An out-of-focus shot of Geralt walking with his horse quickly transitions to his back and then returns, zooming in on his medallion. At the .30-second mark, he turns around, revealing Hemsworth as the White Wolf. The title "The Witcher" appears, followed by the Netflix logo.

Season four is currently in production, and the series is expected to end after Season Five. Check out the First Look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia below!
