With the success of Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, a sequel was never in question. The film made 5.2 million off of a one hundred thousand dollar budget, so a sequel was inevitable.

And you know what they say about sequels. More blood. Higher body count. Bigger budget. Blood and Honey is no different. With a higher budget comes the ability to make a film look better. Some of that money is going to the characters.

In the first film, Pooh and Piglet looked laughably bad. They looked like somebody had just bought rubber masks off of the internet because, well, the budget was so low that that’s what happened. The whole costume reportedly cost a little under $800 to make. Now Pooh’s look reportedly took twenty thousand dollars to make, which would come out to a fifth of the original film’s entire budget. It’s not just Pooh who is getting a redesign either. Piglet has his own makeover.

Credit where it’s due, he looks a touch closer to Piglet, instead of a killer boar. Owl and Pooh also look like they have some money behind them, and aren’t just men in cheap rubber masks. The new film will also have Tigger in it as well.

The film is set to be released February 14th 2024. What a perfect Valentine’s Day movie!
