This 'Star Wars' Fan Favorite Character Will Return For A Future Lucasfilm Project

Star Wars fans, cue the obligatory, “This effort is no longer profitable!” as we have news for you! Hondo Ohnaka is returning, according to voice actor Jim Cummings. In an interview with The Direct, he stated, “I think you’re gonna have to stay tuned, because Hondo is not done yet,” without clarifying any details. This is good news for fans of the character, who debuted in The Clone Wars as a recurring adversary for the Jedi. He quickly became a fan favorite, thanks to his affable demeanor, Cummings' performance, and several quotable lines; the one above became something of a meme. He returned in Rebels and several other projects, including Galaxy’s Edge and a recent expansion for Outlaws.
Jim Cummings also spoke of Ohnaka as such, “He’s one of my favorites, because he’s a lovable rogue. You could probably actually trust him… He looks out for Ezra, and he looks out for the younglings, as they call them, and he won’t do anything to harm anybody. But I wouldn’t want to play cards with him.” The Star Wars galaxy continues to grow, as new content is being produced. What project could be featuring Ohnaka? Time will tell what happens with this Weequay pirate.
