Fans of Amazon Prime Video’s The Rings of Power might have something new to look forward to. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is already considering a fourth season! While THR states it is not officially greenlit yet, the schedule reportedly aims to start pre-production in Fall 2026, with filming set to begin in early 2027. The Rings of Power is a highly successful show for Amazon, ranking among the platform’s top-performing series of all time. If a fourth season is ordered, THR estimates a release window of 2028.

This news arrives ahead of the release of season three. The third season of The Rings of Power is currently scheduled to premiere on November 11, 2026. This season jumps several years forward from where the previous season left off, focusing on Sauron's efforts in creating the One Ring during the War of the Elves and Sauron. There will be a total of eight episodes, but no official release schedule has been announced beyond the first episode yet. Several cast members return, including Daniel Weyman, Ciarán Hinds, Morfydd Clark, Markella Kavenagh, and Charlie Vickers. New cast members include Jamie Campbell Bower, Zubin Varla, and Adam Young. The previous two seasons are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
