The Vision is back, as is Paul Bettany and a host of other figures. VisionQuest was unveiled at New York Comic Con. This showcased not only the vision, but also Jarvis, Edith, Friday and… Ultron? That’s right, James Spader has been confirmed to return as Ultron. How this will happen has yet to be explained, but that’s what the show is for. VisionQuest is stated to be the third in a trilogy following WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Paul Bettany has revealed some information about where Vision is in terms of the show, “What’s different about Vision right now is that Red Vision gave Vision all of his memories, including the memories from within the Hex. But White Vision is having real difficulty connecting to them. So he has the memories, but he doesn’t have the emotions and the feelings, and I think that’s what the journey is. White Vision’s journey during the show is about his attempt to connect to those memories and who he was… but with lasers!”
Paul Bettany first played J.A.R.V.I.S. in Iron Man, as an AI version of Tony’s butler from the comics. Through this, J.A.R.V.I.S. would become the Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, before facing off against the titular robot. Vision would be destroyed in Infinity War, but would be revived in two forms, a “Red Vision” created by Wanda Maximoff’s Hex, and a “White Vision” rebuilt from the original. The two would clash; White got his memories restored by Red, while Red fades away after the Hex is dispelled. True Believers can find out what happens next in VisionQuest.
