Season 2 is still a few weeks away from coming out, but already Wednesday has been announced as having a third season. Starring Jenn Ortega as Wednesday Adams, this interpretation of comic strip and television icons The Addams Family has been an awards magnet since its premiere on Netflix. Now that season 2 is almost here, and season 3 is starting development, more awards are likely to come, and fans are sure to flock to see it. For now, fans can expect to see season 2 in 2 parts, the first on August 6th, and the second on September 3rd.
Wednesday stars, in addition to Jenna Ortega, Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, Billie Piper, Isaac Ordonez, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, Luis Guzmán, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, among others. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are the creators, and Tim Burton is one of the executive producers and a recurring director. Hough and Millar have stated, “It’s been a dark delight to watch Wednesday cast her spell over audiences across the globe — one deadpan quip at a time. We’re beyond thrilled she’ll be returning to stalk the halls of Nevermore in Season 3. This time, she’ll unearth more of the school’s sinister secrets — and descend even deeper into the Addams family crypt. Or, as Wednesday would say: ‘Nothing brings a family together like a good exhumation.”
