This week, it was announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released in December of this year. Larian Studios has commented that an official release date will be coming on December 7 at the 2023 Game Awards. Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox will already be adjusted to have all improvements and bug fixes that were previously made on the PC and PS5 versions of the game. The Xbox Series X and Series S games will both be capable of cross-saving between Xbox and Steam. Split-screen co-op gaming will only be available on the Xbox Series X version for the moment. The hope is to add the feature to Baldur’s Gate 3 for the Xbox Series S in the future.

Larian Studios has already seen tremendous success with Baldur’s Gate 3. The game is up for eight award nominations at The Game Awards next month. Its nominations include Best RPG, Best Narrative, and Game of the Year. Earlier in November, Baldur’s Gate 3 already won awards in categories like Best Storytelling, Best Game Community, PC Game of the Year, and Ultimate Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards. Neil Newborn, who voices Astarion Ancunín in Baldur’s Gate 3, won Best Supporting Performer for his voiceover work as well.
