The cutest little tree in the galaxy is back for more of his antics. Baby Groot is back for season 2 in his own series of shorts, appropriately titled, I Am Groot. These episodes keep the adorable cuteness that season 1 had but with some new stories. Each one is a perfect bite-size short, that even the grumpiest of Marvel fans will smile at.

Are You My Groot?

Groot is walking around in a forest and finds a bird. He tries his best to teach it various things, but he doesn't realize how hard it is to teach a creature. The bird eventually goes back to its parent but makes sure that Groot gets one final goodbye.

Groot Noses Around

Groot is like any child, he gets in trouble and plays video games. His game runs out of battery, and while looking for replacements he finds a nose. Groot goes around sniffing everyone and learns the beauty (and sometimes curse) of having a nose.

Groot's Snow Day

In this short, Groot gets to learn about how much fun it is to have a snow day. He starts off by making hot chocolate, with some purple whipped cream, and then bundles up to go outside. Groot in his tiny snowsuit is too cute. He does what every kid does in the snow, and builds a snowman, even if it's a little bit more technologically advanced.

Groot's Sweet Treat

An intergalactic ice cream truck sounds like the coolest idea, and Groot seems to think so as well. Even in space, it plays music to let everyone know when it's close and has many delicious options. Groot scours the ship to find money to use for the intergalactic ice cream truck before it floats away.

Groot And The Great Prophecy

The final episode of season 2 features Groot landing in an ancient temple. It also features The Watcher, who reveals that Groot will help bring a prophecy to life. Groot, with how small he is, is able to go through most traps pretty easily. He gets distracted, as any child does, but uses the skills he knows in order to fulfill the prophecy.

Just like season 1, there is a lot of childlike wonder in these shorts. Groot is after all a child in these, and while it was exciting to see him go on big adventures in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2, it's also nice to just see him be a kid. It’s also fun to see Baby Groot again, considering he seemed to grow up fast in the MCU movies. It also had the classic Guardians feel, which was great to see.

These don't add anything major to the MCU, but they don't need to. The shorts were just as enjoyable as the first season, and Groot's solo adventures have also expanded. It's interesting to see what Groot got up to during his time as a small tree. Kids and adults alike will enjoy these fun shorts of everyone's favorite baby tree. I hope there are many more seasons of these shorts to come, as they are entertaining, but are also well done. They also serve as an excellent pick me up as well.
