Grand Admiral Thrawn, one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars universe, is known for his tactical brilliance and strategic acumen. Despite being an alien in the notoriously xenophobic and racist Imperial Navy, Thrawn rose to the rank of Grand Admiral and became a key figure in the Empire's fight against the Rebellion. His list of victories and exploits is legendary. Feared and respected for good reason!

5. The Battle Of Batonn

One of Thrawn's first major victories after rising to the rank of Grand Admiral. Thrawn defeated a Rebel force that had taken control of the planet Batonn. Thrawn's tactics in this battle showed his ability to think outside the box and adapt to changing circumstances – even in the face of his own allies.

4. The Katana Fleet

The Katana Fleet was a group of dreadnaught-class heavy cruisers that were built by the Republic during the Clone Wars. The fleet was believed to have been destroyed during a battle, but Thrawn discovered that it had actually been adrift in space for many years, and came up with a plan to find, use, and crew the fleet to great effect during his campaign against the New Republic, as the dreadnaught-class cruisers were well-suited to his tactics and strategies.

3. The Battle Of Atollon

Thrawn personally led the Imperial fleet in this battle and was able to destroy a significant portion of the Rebel fleet. Thrawn's victory in this battle allowed the Empire to gain a foothold in the region and put increasing pressure on the Alliance as well. Plus, the guy shot an unknowable Force entity in the face. Pretty Badass.

2. The Capture Of Hera Syndulla

Hera Syndulla was a key member of the Rebel Alliance and a constant thorn in the side of the Empire. Thrawn was able to use his knowledge of Syndulla's culture, tactics, and weaknesses to set a trap and capture her, dealing a significant blow to the fledging Rebellion.

1. The “Stateless” Strategy

The strategy was developed by Thrawn and involved attacking an enemy's infrastructure and supply lines, rather than their military forces directly. The strategy was named after the idea that by attacking an enemy's state, or government, from a position of statelessness, or from outside their borders, the enemy's military forces would be weakened and vulnerable to attack. This again was based on his understanding of the psychology of his opponents and his ability to predict their behaviour. By attacking the enemy's infrastructure and supply lines, Thrawn could create chaos and confusion within their ranks, causing them to divert resources and attention away from the front lines. Thrawn believed that this would cause the enemy to make mistakes and leave themselves vulnerable to attack. Thrawn's use of the Stateless strategy was demonstrated in several battles the Battle of Bpfassh and the Battle of Myrkr.

Here's hoping for more amazing theatrics and victories from Thrawn in his upcoming appearance in the Ahsoka series this year.
