The finale of Ahsoka is finally here and what a ride it has been. The show was a great continuation of not only Ahsoka’s story but also of the characters we saw in Star Wars Rebels. There were many exciting cameos and returns. The series definitely set up for Dave Filoni’s movie, or hopefully a second season. There were many exciting moments in the finale, so let's look back at some of the best.

5. Hera And Ezra's Reunion

Ezra Bridger was a young kid when he found the Ghost crew. He had no one to be with, so the Ghost crew became his family. Hera became Ezra’s mother in a way. Like any mother, she was worried about him and didn’t want him to do anything dangerous. However, as Ezra got older, he wanted to lead more missions and prove that he was a great Rebel. During the Ahsoka finale, Ezra, with the help of Sabine, is able to hitch a ride on Thrawn’s ship to head back home. When he sees him confront Hera, he disguises himself as a Stormtrooper. Chopper can deduce that it is indeed Ezra in the armor, and Hera’s face says it all when she finally sees Ezra again. Unfortunately, we did not see a hug between the two, but I would like to think it happened off-screen.

4. Baylan Standing On The Statue Of The Father

We were introduced to Baylan Skoll during Ahsoka. He is an interesting character, that we don’t know a lot about. While he didn’t get a conclusive ending, the one he did get opens up new stories with him in the future. The last time we see Baylan, he is standing on a giant statue. The camera zooms out, and it turns out it's not any old statue either, but that of  The Father, which fans first saw during the Mortis arc in The Clone Wars. Next to that is the one of The Brother, and on the other side, with the head missing, is that of The Sister. Many theories are floating around as to what it could mean for Baylan, which will hopefully be explored in the future.

3. Sabine, Ezra, And Ahsoka Fighting Stormtroopers

Sabine, Ezra, and Ahsoka decide to stop Thrawn and head over to his fortress. Here they are met with countless stormtroopers, but all three of them together are an unstoppable force. At one point, they all have their lightsabers out, which makes for peak Star Wars. It’s such an entertaining sequence and felt just like a Star Wars video game. After defeating them, however, the Nightsisters use their magic to bring them back to life, creating zombie stormtroopers. They’re a bit harder to kill, but the three of them manage.

2. Anakin Force Ghost

If you know me, you know I can never get enough of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. So his return to Ahsoka as Anakin had me excited. We saw most of him in the middle of the season, with him helping Ahsoka on her journey to reach her full potential, and then later in a training video, Ahsoka was using. Turns out, this was not the last time we would see Hayden as Anakin. Right before the finale ends, we see the back of a figure in force ghost form, as the camera pans, we see that the figure is Anakin, looking over Ahsoka one last time. It was quite fitting to include Anakin here as he was essential to Ahsoka’s story. It was a great way to wrap up this part of her story as well.

1. Ahsoka And Morgan Elsbeth Fight

Morgan Elsbeth was a loyal follower of Thrawn. So much so, that she stays behind and essentially sacrifices herself for him. Earlier in the episode, the Nightsisters help Morgan reach her full potential as a Nighsistter. They also give her the Talzin Sword, a green-flamed magick sword. She uses this throughout the episode, including in her fight with Ahsoka. During the fight, Ahsoka is alone and is managing to pick off the stormtroopers, while avoiding Morgans's attacks. Sabine joins her, and Ahsoka can focus on Morgan. Using the sword, Morgan splits one of Ahsoka’s lightsabers in half but is still no match for Ahsoka. Ahsoka manages to get the upper end and ends Morgan once and for all.

The Ahsoka series gave us many wonderful moments between beloved characters. It also showed Thrawn’s return, and how much trouble the New Republic will be in. There were many great moments in the entire series, but the finale had some of the best. It will be interesting to see how these character’s stories continue, and where we may see them again in future Star Wars content.
