A new trailer for the second season of Loki recently dropped, further building the anticipation as its release date approaches. The teaser opens with the titular character explaining his situation, seemingly not for the first time. A series of snippets tease the time-hopping drama, Loki artfully glitching around here and there as he is joined by familiar and new characters. Something that will interest fans, in particular, is Loki’s use of magic and powers; it seems his abilities will be further realized and presented in this season. Check it out below!
This season picks up following the timestream-altering events of season one. Sylvie, a variant of Loki, killed the founder of the Time Variance Authority. When she killed He Who Remains, she plunged the multiverse into crisis; the Sacred Timeline was skewed and no one was in place to keep He Who Remains’ Variants under control. Joined by familiar characters and a new crew of allies, Loki gets dragged through the past and present as he tries to right the wrongs and repair time.
