The origin of Good Burger goes back to the original Nickelodeon series All That. The show regularly included comedy sketches, one of which followed the cashier Ed as he got into trouble in the restaurant Good Burger. The sketch was eventually developed into a 1997 movie starring Kel Mitchell as Ed and Kenan Thompson as Dexter, Ed’s new coworker.

According to Paramount, Good Burger 2 returns a down-on-his-luck Dexter to Good Burger as Ed welcomes him back. Dexter has a plan to get things going his way again, but this puts the fate of the restaurant and its new employees at risk. Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, writers from the first film, return as writers and co-producers for the new film. The film’s exact release date has yet to be announced; however, it is reportedly aiming for a late 2023 release. In the meantime, the first film can be streamed on Paramount+.
