DC Studios is planning a follow-up, not a sequel, to their Superman film. The film has been out for a year, and already, they are planning a Summer 2026 production schedule. Many cast members are expected to return, as is James Gunn, but that was a no-brainer. Rumors of the plot have Lex Luthor and Superman teaming up to face a greater threat, but that’s too far off to consider at the moment. For now, Man of Tomorrow, as it is called, will remain a nebulous concept, but it will be certain to bring in fans as the first movie did.
Superman is the first movie to be produced by DC Studios for their DC Universe. The cast included David Corenswet as Superman, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl, among others. The film earned $612 million on a $225 million budget, so a sequel seems like a no-brainer. With that out of the way, fans looking for more information should look to our site.
