Emerald Fennell dropped a teaser trailer of her movie adaptation of Wuthering Heights, and viewers were slightly surprised by its steamy content. The trailer features a close-up of a woman's hands kneading bread, followed by increasingly sensual shots of a shirtless Heathcliff, hands in egg yolks, fingers in mouths, bodices being tightened or cut, and a couple on the verge of kissing. The main romance in the film is between Catherine Earnshaw, played by Margot Robbie, and Heathcliff, played by Jacob Elordi. In an earlier interview, Elordi praised the film. He said, “The performances from everyone- it’s breathtaking. It’s an incredible romance. It’s a true epic. It’s visually beautiful, The script is beautiful. The costumes are incredible.”

The film is adapted from Brontë’s novel, which focuses on the families of the Earnshaws and the Lintons, with Heathcliff being a source of conflict as the Earnshaws’ foster son. Joining Robbie and Elordi is Owen Cooper as the teenage Heathcliff in his feature film debut, and Charlotte Mellington as the young Catherine. Cooper previously made waves with his performance in Netflix’s Adolescence. The film is set to release over Valentine’s Day weekend and will premiere in theaters on February 13, 2026.
