Despite The Ongoing Writer Strike, 'Venom 3' Has Begun Filming

Many projects have halted production during the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, but Venom 3 seems to be somewhat on track for its original schedule.  Fans who filmed the set caught sight of Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock in similar clothing to what he had on in the end credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. He can be seen walking away from a burning, smokey area.  The state of production could change at any time. However, this is an interesting present course of action.  Check the video below!

Scripts are an ongoing product and process; revisions and improvisation can occur throughout a production.  This requires writers to be present for a lot of the media-making process, meaning that with the writers on strike, this cannot happen.  The primary goals of this strike include fairer residual pay, better job security, regulations for AI, and improved writers’ rooms.

The official title for Venom 3 has yet to be announced.  The film will be directed by Kelly Marcel, who previously wrote the screenplays for the first two films.  Plot specificities are being kept under wraps, though, as previously mentioned, the film seems to be picking up where the No Way Home credit scene left off.

The release date is currently unknown; however, if the film follows the recent trends, it will likely have an exclusive theatrical release for a while.  Venom can be streamed on Disney+.  Venom: Let There Be Carnage can be rented or bought through your preferred media retailers.
