Every Upcoming Book And Manga Announced During 'Star Wars' Celebration Day One

Day one of Star Wars Celebration Japan featured the “Lucasfilm Publishing: Manga Mania!” panel. The panel was hosted by Clayton Sandell and was joined by Marvel’s editor-in-chief, C.B. Cebulski, as well as fellow panelists Kenny Ruiz, Shima Shinya, Buse Alan, Sak and Hazama Tukuru, and Man Tsang. During the panel, they announced eleven projects that range from new manga adaptations to updated versions of current Star Wars collections.

There were multiple manga adaptations announced during the panel, including Timothy Zahn’s Star Wars: Thrawn novel and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. It was also announced that Hisao Tamaki’s manga adaptation of A New Hope will be reprinted in The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope - The Manga with newly scanned original storyboards. A Kickstarter campaign for the project will launch soon, and it will hit shelves in the summer of 2026. Lastly, fans got their first look at Star Wars: Path of the Lightsaber, which is a new story set during the sequel trilogy era. It will be released this fall.

Fans got a look at Adam Christopher’s upcoming novel, Star Wars: Master of Evil, which looks into Darth Vader’s pre-A New Hope journey. It will be released on November 11. It was announced that there is a special collection, Doug Chiang: The Cinematic Legacy and The Star Wars Legacy, coming out in December. It will take a look at the incredible work of Doug Chiang. A new greeting-card-in-a-book, I Find Your Lack of Candy Disturbing, will be arriving this August and will feature our favorite characters in exclusive artwork by Jeffrey Brown. Lastly, fans of The Acolyte are getting two new books: The Art of Star Wars: The Acolyte and The Acolyte Visual Guide, which will be released in October and June, respectively.

Star Wars has a collection of books and encyclopedias that are routinely updated to include new information that has been released since the last update. The first book to get an update is Star Wars: The Blueprints, which will feature “straight from the Lucasfilm Archives” blueprints of fan-favorite ships, weapons, and tech. It will be released in October. The second book getting an update is Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy, which will feature characters such as Shin Hati, Peli Motto, Dedra Meero, and Avar Kriss. It will be released at the end of this month.
