IMAX Will Have Fan Events Across The World On 'Star Wars' Day

Just in time for May the Fourth, Star Wars fans will have an opportunity to preview over 25 minutes of never-before-seen footage of The Mandalorian and Grogu at select IMAX theaters around the world. This event will be organized in partnership with Fandango, and screenings will be held at 7 pm local time. Fans in attendance will also receive a limited edition mini-poster. Lucasfilm announced the IMAX event through the official Star Wars accounts, in partnership with IMAX and Fandango. Their announcement says: “Celebrate May the 4th with Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Join IMAX and Lucasfilm for special look fan events at select IMAX theaters around the world on Star Wars Day, featuring exclusive, never-before-seen footage and special fan giveaways.”

The list of participating IMAX theaters worldwide was also released, with the majority of locations in the United States and others in Canada, Europe, and Asia. To the disappointment of fans, the UK was notably missing from this list. Many fans have noted that most of these screenings are already sold out, but are hoping that there will be more opportunities to take part in more such events on Star Wars Day. Burger King locations in the US have also released their Mandalorian and Grogu-inspired menu items and merchandise. Star Wars Day will be celebrated in several other exciting ways, including the 2-part finale of Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord. The Mandalorian and Grogu, starring Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White, will hit theaters on May 22.
