Ironmouse And Other VTubers Quit Vshojo Amidst Charity Scandal

The Virtual Streaming Talent Agency Vshojo has found itself in hot water as one of its top streamers, Ironmouse, quit the agency, with many others on their roster also leaving in the last couple days.
The mass quittings stem from a YouTube video published by Ironmouse, alleging Vshojo has failed to pay The Immune Deficiency Foundation over $500,000 raised in a charity subathon hosted by the VTuber last year.
Ironmouse, a Puerto-Rican American VTuber who first made her debut in 2017 and is a founding member of VShojo’s American Branch, coincidentally broke the record for the most subscribed streamer on Twitch during this 40-day subathon, and has been very vocal about her own struggles with an immune deficiency.
Following Ironmouse’s departure from Vshojo and the publication of her video, a multitude of other prolific VTubers from the agency announced they too would be leaving. Kumo revealed on Twitter that she had left VShojo more than a week prior. Voice actor and musician AmaLee also announced her departure from VShojo, revealing her plans to continue streaming as an independent VTuber. ProjektMelody and Hime Hajime also announced their departures from VShojo on X.

The VTuber Kson would announce her decision to quit VShojo during a livestream with VShojo’s CEO, Makino, alleging unpaid wages from the company dating back to 2024. During the stream, Makino would explain that all funds for Japanese and English talent were pooled into a universal wallet, meaning it's entirely possible that VShojo lacks the funds owed to their VTuber talent from around the world. This means the company can wind up in even more serious financial and, potentially, legal trouble if it continues losing talent.
VShojo has not yet responded to the allegations or the announcement of their top streamers leaving the agency.
