Whether it's horror or comedy, James Gunn always manages to intrigue and captivate audiences with his hilarious, and often off-kilter films. Known for films such as Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad, Gunn is no stranger to making superhero films that stand out against the others. After all, what's more interesting than seeing a group of morally challenged freaks try to do right by the law?

Recently, on X (formerly known as Twitter), Gunn shared a post thanking the actors and film crew for the experience of working on the upcoming film Superman Legacy. This comes after the acting guild strike finally reached a compromise with the AMPTP, as Gunn can finally advertise without crossing the picket line, so to speak.

Unfortunately, this also comes after the news that the animated/live-action hybrid, Coyote Vs Acme, was shelved by Warner Bros. for tax write-off purposes. Seeing as how the anticipated (and fully completed) was also written and produced by Gunn, many fans aren't too optimistic that Superman Legacy will see the light of day, either. If they could scrap Batgirl, then who's to say the same fate won't occur to Superman?

Despite the unpopular decisions made by Warner Bros, Gunn is confident that Superman Legacy will showcase amazing characters and set designs, with a planned release on July 25th, 2025.
