“What is Jeopardy! YouTube Edition?” A new Jeopardy spin-off is soon to be arriving. This time, it’s on YouTube, for Youtube and featuring internet celebrities. Much like Celebrity Jeopardy, these internet stars and influencers will be competing for their favorite charities, not cash. The official description of the promo reads: “They will compete across a dynamic range of clues that blend the classic format and style of Jeopardy! with the energy of internet culture with categories spanning YouTube-inspired topics—from viral trends to the rich 20+ year history of the platform—along with custom video clues featuring notable YouTube talent.”

We already know when the first episode of Jeopardy! YouTube Edition will be dropping at the end of the month. On March 31st, a livestream of the first episode will be playing. The contestants are Dimension 20 gamemaster Brennan Lee Mulligan, drag queen and podcaster Monét X Change, and musician Rebecca Black of Let Her Burn fame and Friday infame. Suzanne Prete, president of game shows at Sony Pictures Television, has stated of the new project, “As we bring our YouTube strategy to life, we’re incredibly excited to build on [Jeopardy’s] legacy while connecting with new audiences in a way that feels fresh, interactive, and native to the platform.” We’ll be taking “Further News on Our Website” for $100.
