During a recent interview with The Wrap, Kelsey Grammer spoke on his potential future within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Spoilers from Marvel Studios’ recent theatrical outing, The Marvels, are ahead.

Since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox several years ago, Marvel fandom has been eager to see mutants appear within the canonical Marvel Cinematic Universe. The writers of Wanda Vision brought in Evan Peters as Wanda Maximoff's deceased brother Pietro, aka Quicksilver, which sent fans into a frenzy as to what universe the show was taking place within since Peters portrayed the character in films for 20th Century Fox. In the 2022 film Dr. Strange In the Multiverse of Madness, fans were treated to the return of Patrick Stewart as Professor X, reprising the role as a variant from another universe.

During Ms. Marvel, the Disney+ series starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, it was revealed in the finale how her DNA was “mutating” as music from the fan-favorite animated series X-Men from the 1990s was referenced. And lastly, it seems Ryan Reynold’s third outing as the Merc with a Mouth in Deadpool 3, which stars Hugh Jackman as the only variant of Wolverine, has fans excited to see other nostalgic favorite characters from previous films.

And with Grammer featured within the end credit sequence of The Marvels, reprising his role as Henry McCoy, albeit in a new, CGI-generated aesthetic for the MCU, fans are excited to learn what happens next.

“It is my hope that you will [see him again]. I can say with a certain amount of confidence that you will. I would love to.” The cameo provoked a strong response from audiences, many of whom have reached out to the actor to find out where they can see him next. “I’ve always wanted to play him again. I see him as an extraordinary character, a real character of gravitas and importance in our culture. I’m delighted Beast is back and hope he’s back in a real way.”

Fans can only hope for the same as Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues.

The Marvels is now in theatres.
