Jessica Jones is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Krysten Ritter is set to reprise her role in the upcoming season two of Daredevil: Born Again. Ritter played Jessica Jones on the Netflix series of the same name for three seasons from 2015 until 2019. She also appeared as the character in the series The Defenders, which featured characters from all of the Marvel-Netflix series. Jessica Jones was canceled in 2019 due to Disney’s decision to air all MCU properties on Disney+.

Jessica Jones possesses superhuman strength. She tried to make it as a superhero but couldn’t make it work. Now she is a hard-drinking, hard-living private investigator. She is as cynical as can be, but her heart is in the right place.

Ritter joined Charlie Cox (Daredevil) on stage for the announcement. She said, “I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”
