LEGO has been particularly busy in the early days of the year. Following the announcement of its Smart Play system - which allows bricks and minifigures to emit light, produce sound, and react to one another - alongside the reveal of a Stranger Things house and three Pokémon sets, the Danish brickmaker has now unveiled “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle.” This marks the second entry in the Zelda lineup, following 2024’s “Great Deku Tree”.

Designated as set number 77093 and consisting of 1,003 pieces, the playset measures 6.5 inches (17 cm) in height, 11 inches (29 cm) in width, and 7 inches (18 cm) in depth. Priced at $129.99 and carrying an 18+ age rating, it is clearly aimed at adult collectors rather than children.

This target audience is reflected in the scene the set depicts: the climactic final battle from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the fifth main entry in Nintendo’s long-running franchise. Originally released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, the game remains one of the most critically acclaimed titles of all time, boasting a Metacritic score of 99. For those who experienced it upon release, the set offers a generous dose of nostalgia.

The set includes three minifigures - Princess Zelda, Link, and Ganondorf - as well as a small stud-and-dish representation of Navi, the fairy. Builders can also construct Ganon in his monstrous form, complete with the Triforce, which he uses in the game to transform from his humanoid appearance.

Hidden within the ruins of Ganondorf’s destroyed castle tower are three recovery hearts. At the push of a button, a concealed hatch opens to raise the villain from the debris below. Ganondorf’s minifigure features a unique headpiece, shoulder armor, and a cape with printing on both sides. Likewise, Zelda’s dress is fully printed rather than relying on stickers.

Iconic items from the game are also included, such as the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, Megaton Hammer, and Zelda’s magic, represented by translucent yellow waves of light.

“The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle” will be available starting March 1, with preorders already live on the official LEGO store.
