Way back in 2019 at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios revealed that the X-Men would be coming to the MCU. Now, they’re ready to reveal the cast for an upcoming X-Men reboot at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in July. Marvel Update’s social media post on X promises it will be the big announcement of the con. Some X-Men characters have already found their way into the MCU. At the end of The Marvels, Monica Rambeau ends up in an alternate universe with Beast and other X-Men characters played by their original characters, and Wolverine teams up with Deadpool in the official canon. Similarly, the multiverse in Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness, Strange meets some X-Men variants, and the show Ms. Marvel revealed that the titular character is a mutant.

Outside of the odd cameo or reference, though, the X-Men are still largely absent from the MCU. This is set to change with the upcoming Avengers films. In the meantime, there’s plenty of rumors for fans to consider while Marvel bides its time. One such rumor is that Sadie Sink is playing Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Other predictions include Harris Dickinson as Cyclops, Margaret Qualley as Rogue, Jesse Plemons as Beast, Trinity Jo-Lee Bliss as Jubilee, and Julia Butters as Kitty Pride. Until July, the predictions will remain unconfirmed rumors but fan theories are part of the experience.
