Marvel seems to be keeping their musical legacy in the family. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Emmy-winning composer Mick Giacchino will provide the score for the upcoming series, VisionQuest.

If his name sounds familiar, Mick is the son of Academy Award-winning film composerMichael Giacchino, who holds the record for the most MCU scores of any composer with seven, soon to be eight. Mick previously worked as an orchestrator on Spider-Man: Homecoming and as a score coordinator on Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In addition to this, Mick has acted as an additional composer on some of his father’s scores, including Jurassic World Dominion, Next Goal Wins, and The Batman. Mick Giacchino’s most prominent scoring credits include his work on the Star Wars series Skeleton Crew (co-created by MCU veteran Jon Watts) and The Penguin, a spin-off of The Batman. Giacchino’s score for both series received critical acclaim, with his work on The Penguin winning him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special (Original Dramatic Score).

VisionQuest will consist of 8 episodes and will air later this year on Disney+.
