Percy Jackson And The Olympians season 1 was not only a hit with fans, but it was also one of the most popular shows on Disney+ when it came out. It was renewed for a season 2, which will cover the second book in the series, Sea of Monsters. There hasn’t been too much revealed about the upcoming season, besides the release date in December, but thanks to a new “rest of the year” trailer from Disney+, we finally get a first look at the upcoming season.
The four images, taken from the trailer, show different things. One of them shows Annabeth in Athena’s armor, which looks pretty cool. Two photos show Annabeth and Percy on the ship. It is unclear from the photo what is happening, but Percy is reaching out his hand to help Annabeth get up. Lastly, one of the images shows a shore with two boats, one modern and one ancient, washed ashore. In between the two, however, is a spiky tail of a mythical creature. If you’re familiar with the books, you could guess that this tale could be from either Scylla or Charybdis, two monsters who guard the sea.

The Sea of Monsters is essentially just the Bermuda Triangle, and unfortunately, Percy and Annabeth must pass through it to save Grover from the cyclops, Polyphemus. Not only that, Luke is out there somewhere, trying to form an army to resurrect the Titan God, Kronos. Percy and Annabeth have their work cut out for them this season.
Percy Jackson And The Olympians season 2 is set to release in December 2026.
