Seems the long-running animated sitcom The Simpsons is getting in on the Star Wars fun on May 4th. A new short featuring the youngest member of the Simpson family is set to premiere on Disney+. The short, called Maggie Simpson in ‘Rouge Not Quite One,’ will have Homer lose track of the infant as Maggie hops into the hovering pram of Grogu, causing this short to be something of a crossover with The Mandalorian, and goes on a journey across the galaxy. It seems she might have gotten tangled up with the remnants of the Empire, as the poster depicts Maggie being chased by various TIE fighters. The short was announced on the Disney+ Twitter this past Tuesday.

This short is not the first time The Simpsons have crossed over with other major Disney-owned properties. The family previously crossed over with Marvel in the short The Good, The Bart and the Loki. Disney is taking advantage of the various universes it owns, creating fun crossover opportunities when it can. Maggie Simpson in ‘Rouge Not Quite One’ drops onto Disney+ on May 4th, just in time for the Star Wars-themed holiday, May the 4th, a celebration of Star Wars that takes advantage of a simple play of words causing May 4th to sound like “May the force be with you,” a common phrase in the franchise.
