This article contains spoilers for the season 2 finale of Only Murders In The Building.

The thing about great murder mysteries is that you simultaneously want to find out who did it while wanting the story to ever end. So while the Season 2 finale of Only Murders In The Building did a great job revealing the murderer, it also presented its fans with something to hold on to as they waited for Season 3. The Season 2 finale, much like Season 1, ends with a character meeting a terrible fate. Only this time is an unfamiliar character, a Broadway star named Ben Glenroy, played by Paul Rudd. As a result, the plot thickens and leaves us with a pile of queries. The first one is, will we see him again?

Very much, indeed. It has now been confirmed that the Ant-Man star will reprise the role in the third season of the hilarious mystery comedy series co-created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. In an interview with Variety, Hoffman stated, “Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!”

Paul Rudd will join that cast that includes Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, who play residents of the Upper West Side building, the Arconia, and are united in their love for true crime and their penchant for getting involved in murder mysteries. The series so far has managed to keep the audience on their toes, and the first season of the series has bagged a whopping 17 Primetime Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Comedy Series.
