Prime VIdeo Releases 'Batman: Caped Crusader' Season 2 Trailer

Batman is back for Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2. Prime Video released a trailer for the new season. The trailer opens with Batman cloaked in shadow, and trying to stop a bank robbery. Officers lament that they’re losing the fight of keeping crime out of Gotham, and another calls it a war. The trailer then focuses on Riddler, who seems to be the main villain of the season. A news anchor casts doubt about Batman’s role. From there viewers see a flash cut of Batman, the Riddler, and other members of his rogues gallery. The trailer ends with Batman receiving a mysterious phone call and a shot of the Joker’s face.

Bruce Timm, creator of Batman: The Animated Series, is the showrunner for Batman: Caped Crusader with Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams as executive producers. The official press release from Prime Video describes the show’s tone, “Batman: Caped Crusader is a hard-boiled animated series that follows the fearsome vigilante in his early years. Forged in the fire of tragedy, billionaire Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the BATMAN. Night after night, against overwhelming odds, he wages his relentless one-man war on crime.” The new season premieres on Prime Video on July 31, 2026 with all 10 episodes available. The first season is currently streaming on Prime Video.
