Actor and singer Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi has just begun work on his directorial film debut. Doe, which also stars him, centers around a man living on the streets of Hollywood over 24 hours as incidents on that day pull him in and out of his addictions. In addition to Kid Cudi himself, the film stars Mark Webber from Flesh and Blood, Leah McNamara from Normal People, Brandon Scott from Dead to Me, and Brandon Perea of Nope fame. Cudi is executive producing alongside Karina Manashil under the Mad Solar production company, with producers including Weber, Anthony Baldino, and Ryan Lacen.

Mescudi has said of Doe, “Directing for me has been the ultimate dream of mine since I was a little boy. I’ve always been fascinated with film, and I’ve been sharpening my sword for years waiting for this very moment. It’s truly been the best experience filming this movie and I can’t wait for the world to see a true work of passion and love, made with friends.” This comes after the singer has directed some of his own music videos and starred in films like Ti West’s horror trilogy of X, Pearl, and MaXXXine. Future details about Doe will be shared on our site as they come out.
