On Star Wars Day The Acolyte received its final trailer and key art. There is only a month to go until the two-episode premiere of the series on Disney+, this trailer shows more characters, more action, and more intrigue than the teaser released earlier in the year.

Of those characters, the assassin Mae features alongside many of the Jedi of the High Republic era this series will introduce. Those Jedi also feature on the poster, including the only character returning from previous High Republic novels, Vernestra Rwoh. The owner of the red blade is also shown at the end of the trailer, but nothing is revealed about them to keep the surprise. But showrunner Leslye Headland does they “they’re my favourite character.”

Keeping on the characters, Headland says that a duality exists in every character that appears in The Acolyte. She also likens the series to an onion. “Each episode peels away to reveal something else. I hope the experience of watching it is both suspenseful and satisfying.”

First impressions from the preview clip of The Acolyte released as part of The Phantom Menace 25th anniversary release are positive, which looks good for the full series. That series will release on Disney+ on June 4, with a two-episode premiere.
