'Super Mario Bros. Wonder' Is the Fastest-Selling Mario Game Ever In Europe After Just 3 Days

After having a movie released earlier this year, the Super Mario Bros franchise continues to be a huge success worldwide. After less than half a week, Super Mario Bros. Wonder has surpassed Super Mario Odyssey as the fastest-selling game in Europe. Odyssey sold over 25 million copies across the continent, and although the sale numbers from Wonder have not been officially released, it is confirmed to have surpassed that of its 2017 predecessor.

GamesRadar called the game "an excellent 2D Mario game with easily the most impressive world-building we've seen in this style,” and reviews for the most part have been positive.

The development team ended up with over 2,000 sticky notes worth of ideas due to the creators wanting to prioritize content over schedule, with many of them being discarded completely, and others being added to the game.
