Rollacrit is expanding the world of Heroes of Barcadia, the pun-filled, dungeon-crawling tabletop game where your health is measured by the drink in your glass using the Liquid Life System™. First up, fans who missed the 2024 Kickstarter can now grab the long-awaited Heroes for Hire and Die of Barcane Chaos expansions released today. In addition, two newly announced expansions are joining the party: the Booze Ooze Invasion Expansion, which made its debut at Gen Con 2025, and the festive Halloween Booster Pack. All three releases are available for US shipping on Rollacrit.com now.

After their run-in with the notorious Grand Drink Guardian, the original Heroes of Barcadia retreated to the Plastered Pony tavern, but a new threat called for reinforcements. Enter the Heroes for Hire: four valiant adventurers ready to tackle the dungeon’s challenges. This expansion, originally funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign, adds new heroes, unique abilities, and the unpredictable Die of Barcane Chaos. Limited stock from the Kickstarter run, including fan favorites like the Sword of Revealment 6-Pack, Brewtus the Barkeep, and Voodoo Ranger, will be available on the Rollacrit website now.

Putting The "Dragons" In 'Dungeons & Dragons'

The dungeon just got stickier with the newly announced and now released Booze Ooze Invasion Expansion! This expansion adds 5x roaming Ooze tokens that travel the board, blocking paths and ambushing heroes. Using special Loot Cards, players can place oozes in opponents’ ways, but beware, they can ooze back! When starting your turn in a room with an ooze, roll a d20: on a 10 or higher, the Ooze is removed and you draw a Loot Card; on a 9 or lower, you take 5 HP damage. Players also take 5 HP whenever entering a room with an ooze or if one enters the player’s room. This expansion, not included in the Heroes for Hire Kickstarter, adds unpredictable challenges and exciting new gameplay.
