Batter up. Patrick Renna, one of the stars of The Sandlot, is reuniting with the cast for a brand new show from his production company, Hambino Media. Co-Created with Kyle Howard, Renna stars in Dugout Dads as a little league coach who finds himself with more than he bargained for. The kids aren’t the problem; it’s the adults: other coaches and parents of the players, sometimes including himself. Appearing in the first season are Tom Guiry, Chauncey Leopardi, Marty York, Brandon Quintin Adams, Victor DiMattia, Shane Obedzinski, Grant Gelt, and Will Horneff. Boy Meets World’s Danielle Fishel will be playing the wife of Renna’s character.

Renna has said about the production, “After years of coaching Little League, I’ve witnessed some truly epic meltdowns on the field, and it’s always the adults (I’d be lying if I said it was never me). I just knew those experiences had to become a show. What makes it even more special is that it’s bringing me back together with the cast of The Sandlot, guys I’ve shared a unique bond and brotherhood with for more than 30 years. It feels like a story I was meant to tell, with exactly the right people to tell it with.” More details about the project will be given as they are revealed.
